Bracken

Bracken

Bracken came to live with us on August Bank Holiday Monday, this year, and a timid little thing she was. Was being the operative word!

With some TLC, she has certainly come out of her shell, and we have found a fantastic little character. We quickly learned what a very clever little dog she is too.

Bracken loves her walks, playing with a ball, and has made friends with many dogs that we meet on our travels – mainly other Border Collies. She also loves to go running with Louise, so much so, that Louise can’t put her running shoes on without a Brackie Dog looking at her with pleading eyes!

When she’s not out walking or running, she gets very comfortable on her many beds – the big furry one that we bough for her, or one that she commandeered off the cat, or the 2 seat leather sofa, that she’s also claimed.

… and if we’re out, she casually gets on our bed – normally with the cat. What can we say!

Everyone thinks she’s been very lucky to come and live with us, but we think that we’re the lucky ones in finding Bracken – who is an absolute delight to have around.

Hi Sandy,

Just thought you would like to see these pictures of Vicky & Spot- we have made them into a collage to be printed as a canvas picture (as an early Christmas present to me!). As you can see they have settled in brilliantly together and love nothing better than to run about in the fields.

Hope you all have a wonderful  Christmas

from Cheryl, Paul, Vicky & Spot.

Hello to you all

I have attached some pictures of Sarah the greyhound so you can see how she is settling in!!

She has claimed our sofa in the conservatory for her own and seems perfectly content sleeping for most of the day!!! and night!!

Her new coat arrived today and she was proudly showing it off when we went for a walk, she is a real show off !!

I will send some over to East Midlands Dog resuce as well so they can see how well and how quickly she has become a member of the Jones Family!

Anne, Shaun, Alex-Louise, Katie and of course SARAH

Dottie & her many puppies.

We are happy to say that Dottie and her puppies, who were all so ill at one point we were really worried, have been happily rehomed.

Hi Sandy, Jackie and Val.

Just thought we would let you know how the girls have been getting on. Well the first evening was quite funny, the girls found the stairs and spent ages just walking up and down them, very excitable, explored every room. They slept (on and off) upstairs with us in the night on their bed. We had a few accidents, they found the toys in the bathroom and Elizabeth’s Bratz dolls, Truffles likes dolls and cardboard boxes she can chew. Truffles also found a tennis ball and spared no time in chewing it up, the look on her face was very puppy like and she enjoyed herself. Muffin was a little more reserved. First night was a little sleepless but good.

Since then the girls have settled every night, we've had one or two accidents but always on the training pads. We've been giving them lots of praise and a treat when they've toileted outside and on walks. They love going on walks and they are brilliant off lead, never going too far, also stopping and waiting. The girls are starting to play together really well.

We all think the girls are brilliant. They are very sweet loving girls. Muffin is still wary around men but Steve is sitting with her for a while every night, so will hopefully become more confident as time goes by. Muffin seems wary inside the house or confined spaces but she is fine outside in open spaces with Steve.

All in all, everything is going well. We will bring the girls back to see you soon. I've attached a couple of pictures the girls. Thank you for letting us have them.

Take Care

TRUFFLES & MUFFIN

Happily homed with the Julie, Steve, Elizabeth and Alexander Harris

Ross & Stuart recently adopted two greyhounds, Parky & Lucy.  You couldn’t ask for two more committed, nicer and caring owners who, as you can see from the pictures, spoilt the dogs rotten!

DAVE

Hi Sandy
Just a quick update on Slick, he is enjoying life &  is very good although cheeky. He makes us laugh most days & is a pleasure to take out. Chloe still likes him but tends to keep out of his way in the garden when he decides to race (don't blame her). I have just booked a weeks holiday at West Runton, Norfolk in our caravan so Slick will be having his first holiday in September. I have attached more pics of Slick for you, I shall keep in touch.
